Milk Donation Banks

About

Moms with extra breast milk can become donors: give written consent, complete a screening questionnaire, have your eligibility confirmed, read the donor guidelines, then express, store and drop off your milk at a Ncelisa depot or milk bank at a Netcare maternity unit.

Netcare Ncelisa Human Milk Banks provide safe donor breast milk, including colostrum, to premature and medically vulnerable babies in neonatal intensive care who cannot receive their own mother's milk. Established in November 2017, the network has 35 collection depots and five milk banks supplying NICUs in both private and public hospitals. Where to donate in Gauteng: the Netcare hospitals below have milk depots where you can drop off your donated milk and have your donor blood tests done. The cost of the blood tests is covered by Netcare. Akasia, Alberton, Femina, Garden City, Krugersdorp, Lakeview, Linkwood, Linmed, Montana, Mulbarton, N17, Olivedale, Park Lane, Pinehaven, Pretoria East, Sunninghill, Sunward Park, Unitas and Waterfall.
